Find out which Governor is getting accused of mishandling $21 million in Cares Act funding for their state, what Larry Kudlow had to say about the stalled negotiations, and why Pelosi and Mnuchin are yet again pointing fingers at one another…. After this.

Governor Kim Reynolds has improperly spent more than $21 million in federal relief funds.

The Cares Act was used to pay for a new human resources and accounting system from Workday, a software vendor, as well as to pay portions of the salaries of the governor’s staff.

According to a letter sent to the governor’s office by state auditor Rob Sand, she must correct the misallocation before the end of the year or face having to repay the money.

The letter also states for the governor’s office to provide detailed records showing the funds spend on salaries were for work performed directly in response to the pandemic.

Reynolds said her office would respond defending her reasons for using the relief funds and explaining why it was an appropriate expense.

Sand is rejecting this argument saying the contract for the Workday system was entered in 2019 and was not scheduled for implemenation until 2021.

Up next, Larry Kudlow is showing signs of pessimism over the chances of getting the bill before Election Day saying that there still a number of issues diving the White House and Democrats.

Kudlow said, “It’s very difficult.”

He went on to say that disagreements remain over policies like libaility protection and assistance to undocumnet migrants.

In a Bloomberg Television interview, Kudlow said, “he had hear that the GOP conference in the Senate would be willing to support a bill as long as it is a genuinely bipartisan deal and their asks are included.”

Pelosi and Mnuchin are pointing fingers at one another to maintain stimulus negotiations.

Pelosi said Friday, “We could do that before election, if the President wants to.”

Pelosi is arguing that the President should push Republicans to agree to the $2 trillion aid package.

While Mnuchin is telling reporters, “We’ve offered compromises. The speaker, on a number of issues is still dug in. If she wants to compromise, there will be a deal.”

Pelosi has said that the House still has time to vote on a stimulus bill before election if the administration makes further comprises.

We are tired of the back and forth from these two. Who cares who’s to blame when either of them can’t agree.
