Some Japanese celebrated Coming of Age Day on January 11 amid a record Covid-19 surge. Turning 20 years old is traditionally marked with a formal ceremony each January, but as the country recorded a record daily high of more than 7,500 new daily cases last week, many local authorities have cancelled or postponed the festivities this year.
